As a music minister you help the gathered assembly worship God in Spirit and truth.  According to Saint Augustine, he (she) who sings prays twice. In all sacred liturgy, music is very important. “Music is not just something in the liturgy; it is of the liturgy… It expresses the thanksgiving we offer God, and it reveals the wondrous mystery of God in creative love” (Jennifer Breedlove and Paul Turner, Guide for Music Ministers, p. 7).
